As someone who has traveled to 31 countries, 4 continents, and over 30 U.S. states, I’ve had my share of airport lounges. However, nothing compares to what I experienced at the Delta One Lounge at JFK, which had just opened a month prior. From the moment I arrived, the experience was unlike any other.
Personalized Service from the Moment You Arrive
The Delta One Lounge experience begins even before you step inside the lounge. As soon as I was dropped off at the airport, I was greeted by Delta One Lounge ambassadors who took my bags. They checked me in in a beautifully designed reception area, offering snacks and drinks. The TSA security station was conveniently located just outside the lounge, making the entire process quick and easy.
Once inside, I was welcomed by friendly and professional staff who checked my ticket and guided me into the lounge, which felt like stepping into a luxurious first-class or Michelin star restaurant.
Exceptional Dining
The lounge’s dining options are truly exceptional. In addition to a beautiful and mouthwatering buffet, there is a full-service dining experience featuring local ingredients, curated by celebrity chefs and expert mixologists. I had the opportunity to indulge in a four-course meal, complete with reserve wines and spirits. It’s not just about eating; it’s about the entire sensory experience, where every detail is meticulously crafted to elevate your journey.
Wellness and Relaxation
What truly set the Delta One Lounge apart was its focus on wellness. Dedicated wellness spaces offer privacy and feature Grown Alchemist personal care products, massage options, shower suites, and more.
One of the highlights of my visit was the massage chair experience. Located in a private room, the chair provided a full-body massage, from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. It was absolutely heavenly. I had a 25-minute session, which left me feeling completely relaxed. I felt a little guilty about leaving my husband with the bags while I was in such bliss, but the Delta ambassador encouraged me to bring him to experience the chair as well.
Lockers are available for your personal belongings, so you can fully unwind without any worries.
The Ultimate Departure Experience
When it was time to leave, the experience continued to impress. Delta arranged for a cart to take us directly to our gate, leaving us feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Had there been a private club with these amenities near my home, I would certainly be a member. This is the type of place where I’d want to spend my Sundays.
Accessing the Delta One Lounge
Delta One Lounge access is available to passengers with same-day Delta One tickets, whether departing or arriving in the Delta One cabin. Currently, the Delta One Lounges are available at JFK, LAX, and BOS airports. I can’t wait to experience all 3 lounges. This experience carried over to my flight 6 hours flight to Los Angeles.
